ABUJA, NIGERIA<\/strong> – In a strongly worded statement that has sent ripples through the political landscape of Osun State, SocioAfrica, a prominent pan-African socio-political advocacy group, has thrown its weight behind the Federal Government of Nigeria’s recent directive to freeze the accounts of the Osun State Government.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The group did not mince words, launching a scathing critique against the current state administration, which they referred to as the “Dancing Governor’s” government, asserting that the incumbent is “manifestly unqualified” for the serious business of governance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Vote of Confidence for Federal Intervention<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The controversy stems from the Federal Government’s alleged move to restrict access to certain state accounts, a measure believed to be linked to concerns over fiscal discipline, adherence to constitutional guidelines, and the alleged misuse of public funds, particularly the local government allocations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a press conference held earlier today in Abuja, the SocioAfrica Director of Strategy and Intelligence, Dr. Kunle Adebayo, articulated the group’s position.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“SocioAfrica supports any action that seeks to bring sanity, accountability, and fiscal responsibility to governance at any level,” Dr. Adebayo stated. “The financial chaos and the lack of a clear economic blueprint witnessed in Osun State under the current leadership are not only worrisome but pose a direct threat to the welfare of the citizenry. The Federal Government’s decision is a necessary and courageous step to prevent further economic haemorrhage.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Unqualified Leadership” and The ‘Dancing Governor’ Moniker<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The group was particularly critical of the Governor\u2019s leadership style, which it labelled as “distracted and unserious.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Governance is a serious enterprise, not a stage for theatrics,” Dr. Adebayo continued, using the phrase “Dancing Governor”\u2014a reference often used by critics of the Osun State incumbent to imply a lack of seriousness\u2014to hammer home their point. “We have observed a pattern of fiscal indiscretion, policy inconsistencies, and a general lack of focus that demonstrates a leader manifestly unqualified to manage a state as crucial as Osun. The people of Osun deserve a focused, visionary, and grounded administrator, not a celebrity.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pledge to Restore Osun State to APC in 2027<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Beyond the immediate crisis, SocioAfrica has openly declared its long-term political objective for the state, which is the return of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to power in the 2027 gubernatorial election.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The group announced a significant commitment of resources, expertise, and manpower to achieve this goal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“We are not merely complaining; we are committing to a solution,” declared Mrs. Titi Alao, SocioAfrica\u2019s Head of Technology and Grassroots Mobilization. “SocioAfrica will deploy sophisticated Intelligence, Technologies, and grassroots Support<\/strong> to mobilize, sensitize, and educate the Osun electorate. Our focus will be on providing the APC with the tools\u2014data analytics, secure communication platforms, and targeted public relations\u2014needed to win back the state and implement a true restoration agenda for economic prosperity and infrastructural development.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The group concluded its statement by calling on all progressive forces within Osun State to unite under the banner of the APC, vowing that the current administration would be a “temporary distraction” and that “2027 will mark the end of the dance and the beginning of the serious work of governance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
