SocioAfrica to Pressure EFCC to Release School Students Back to Universities & Reintegrate School Students, Pressure Universities to Admit and Support All Qualified Learners by 2026

Abuja, Nigeria — In a powerful call for educational fairness and youth empowerment, SocioAfrica, under Socio Technologies Limited, has announced a national campaign urging the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and Nigerian universities to prioritize the reintegration of students who have been detained, suspended, or excluded from academic life due to minor or unresolved issues.

The movement — part of SocioAfrica’s broader Education for All 2026 Initiative — aims to ensure that every qualified student in Nigeria is given the opportunity to study, grow, and contribute to the nation’s progress.

“Our youth are the heartbeat of the future. Education should never be interrupted by misunderstanding, fear, or systemic barriers,” said Oluwaseun Medayedupin, Founder of SocioAfrica. “By 2026, every qualified student should be back in school — inspired, supported, and empowered to succeed.”

🎓 A Call for Compassion and Reform

SocioAfrica is calling on all relevant agencies and institutions — including the EFCC, Federal Ministry of Education, National Universities Commission (NUC), and university governing councils — to collaborate in:

  • Reviewing and releasing students held or delayed over non-violent or minor academic-related cases.
  • Reinstating and re-admitting students into universities under fair and lawful conditions.
  • Expanding admission capacities to accommodate all qualified applicants by 2026.
  • Promoting mentorship and support systems for vulnerable or at-risk students.

The organization stressed that education is both a human right and a national security priority, noting that exclusion of young people from education increases poverty, unemployment, and insecurity.

💡 Education as a Path to Peace and Prosperity

SocioAfrica reaffirmed its commitment to working with universities, youth organizations, and technology partners to support digital education, scholarships, and counseling programs for affected students.

“We cannot build a prosperous nation while leaving its brightest minds behind,” Medayedupin added. “Every student deserves a second chance — because an educated youth means a stronger, safer, and more peaceful Nigeria.”
